What this tool does
A free conversion rate calculator for marketers, ecommerce owners and growth teams. Conversion rate is conversions divided by visitors times 100, and this tool solves for whichever piece you are missing. Give it conversions and visitors to read the rate, give it a rate and visitors to project conversions, or give it conversions and a rate to find how much traffic you need. A target mode answers the planning question every campaign asks, namely how many visitors a goal number of conversions needs at an expected rate. An A/B mode takes two variant rates and reports the relative uplift, the real percentage one beats the other by, which is the number people misread as the raw point gap. Every result has a one-click copy and a shareable link that reopens the exact scenario. Math runs entirely in your browser, nothing is uploaded, and the zero visitor case is guarded so you never see a divide by zero.

Calculation jobs
- Getting a realistic range before a purchase, plan, workout, or schedule decision.
- Comparing scenarios by changing one input at a time.
- Turning rough assumptions into a number you can discuss.
Calculation checks
- Double-check units, dates, rates, and rounding assumptions.
- Treat health, finance, tax, and legal outputs as planning aids, not professional advice.

Real-world use cases
Report a product page conversion rate to the team
Your store had 1000 sessions on a product page and closed 50 orders this week. Drop both numbers in and read 5 percent, copy the summary line, and paste it into the standup notes. Next week you change one number and the rate updates, so the same link tracks the page over time without anyone reopening a spreadsheet.
Plan the traffic a campaign needs to hit a goal
Marketing committed to 100 signups this month and the landing page converts around 5 percent. Switch to target mode, enter 100 conversions at a 5 percent rate, and the tool says you need 2000 visitors. Now the ad budget conversation has a real traffic number behind it instead of a hopeful guess.
Settle an A/B test argument with the right percentage
One variant converts at 2 percent, the redesign at 3 percent. Someone says it is only a 1 point gain, someone else says it is 50 percent better. Both are right about different numbers. The A/B mode shows the 1 point difference and the 50 percent relative uplift side by side, so the readout in the deck is unambiguous.
Compare two funnel steps to find the leak
Cart to checkout converts 40 of 200, checkout to paid converts 30 of 40. Run each step as its own conversion rate, 20 percent then 75 percent, and the first step is clearly where the funnel leaks. Use the copy button to log both rates in your funnel doc.
Common pitfalls
Mixing the time window or funnel step between conversions and visitors. If you count this month's orders against last month's traffic, or sales against all sessions including bounces on unrelated pages, the rate describes two different populations and the percentage is fiction.
Reporting the raw point difference as if it were the uplift. Going from 2 percent to 3 percent is a 1 point gain but a 50 percent relative uplift. Saying the test improved conversion by 1 percent badly undersells a result that actually lifts conversions by half.
Forgetting that visitors must be the denominator, not impressions or clicks. A 5 percent rate against ad impressions and a 5 percent rate against landing page visitors are completely different things. Pick one consistent denominator and label it, so nobody compares two rates built on different bases.
Privacy
Every calculation, the conversion rate formula, the reverse solves, the target traffic math and the A/B uplift, is plain JavaScript that runs in your browser tab. No traffic numbers, order counts or test results ever leave the page, and nothing is logged. The one caveat is that the shareable link encodes your inputs in the query string, so a link pasted into chat records those numbers in the recipient server's access log. For confidential figures, use the copy button and paste the text instead.
