Sizes are the industry mainstream mapping. Brands vary by up to one full size — always check the brand size guide before buying.

How to measure

Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe, measure heel-to-toe in mm. Measure both feet in the evening (feet swell during the day) and use the larger one.

What this tool does

A shoe size converter that actually anchors to physics. Pick the wearer (men's, women's, or kids') and type a size you already know in any of six scales — US, UK, EU, China (mm shoe number), Japan (cm), or raw foot length in millimetres — and it instantly shows every other scale plus your foot length in both centimetres and inches. Tap any value to copy it, or copy the whole row at once. Every row is keyed to a measured foot length, the only objective number behind any sizing chart, so a US men's 9 always lands on the same physical row as UK 8.5, EU 42.5, and a 260 mm foot — no drifting formulas, no compounding rounding errors. Off-grid inputs (you measured 253 mm, or you typed EU 41 between two half sizes) snap to the closest standard size and the result is flagged as a closest match rather than an exact one, so you know when to size up. The conversion table and all the maths run as plain JavaScript in your browser — nothing is uploaded, and the shareable link encodes only the wearer, the input scale, and the size value so a friend opening it lands on the same conversion. Built for haitao shoppers, daigou buyers, travellers facing a foreign size sticker, and anyone buying shoes as a gift across borders.

How Shoe Size Converter fits into your work

Use it for fast estimates, comparisons, and planning numbers before you make the final call.

Calculation jobs

  • Getting a realistic range before a purchase, plan, workout, or schedule decision.
  • Comparing scenarios by changing one input at a time.
  • Turning rough assumptions into a number you can discuss.

Calculation checks

  • Double-check units, dates, rates, and rounding assumptions.
  • Treat health, finance, tax, and legal outputs as planning aids, not professional advice.
  • Save the inputs that produced an important result so you can reproduce it later.

Real-world use cases

  • Buy US-listed sneakers from China without guessing

A US drop lists a sneaker in men's US sizes only and you shop from China. Measure your foot at 268 mm, switch the wearer to men's, set the input scale to Foot length, type 268. The result snaps to the 269 mm row: US 10, UK 9.5, EU 44, JP 28. You order the US 10 with confidence instead of converting in your head and landing a half size off.

  • Daigou ordering on behalf of a client who only knows EU

A daigou client says "I'm a EU 39 in women's". Set wearer to women's, input scale to EU, type 39. You read back US 7, UK 4.5, foot length 23.3 cm. Now you can buy from a US or Japanese store that doesn't list EU and copy the whole row into your order notes with one tap.

  • Gift shoes to a relative overseas

Your cousin in Japan wears a JP 25 and you want to send a UK-made pair. Pick women's, JP, type 25. The chart gives UK 6, EU 40.5, and a 25.0 cm foot length, so you order the UK 6 and include the cm length in the card in case they want to exchange it.

  • Decode a foreign size sticker while travelling

You find shoes abroad labelled only "41" with no country marked. Type 41 into the EU field for men's: foot length 26.5 cm, US 8.5, UK 8. Stand the shoe against your own foot length to sanity-check before the language barrier turns a bargain into a return you can't make.

  • Build a size reference for a small cross-border shop

You sell shoes to mixed US/EU/Asia customers and keep getting "what's my size?" messages. Use the full chart at the bottom of the tool as your reference, and share a pre-filled link (it encodes wearer + scale + value) in your FAQ so buyers self-serve instead of DMing you.

Common pitfalls

  • Converting with the wrong wearer column. A US women's 8 and a US men's 8 are different feet — the men's size is roughly 1.5 numbers larger for the same foot. Always set the men's / women's / kids toggle before reading any result.

  • Treating EU and CN as the same because both can appear on a Chinese shoe box. EU 42 and a CN 42 (interpreted as a 42 hao) are not the same length. Here CN is the foot length in mm (260, not 42), so read the column label, not just the number.

  • Trusting a single chart for an expensive narrow-last dress shoe. Half-size charts are tuned for mainstream sneaker lasts. For leather shoes or wide/narrow fits, use the brand's own foot-length range and prefer free returns — the closest-match badge tells you when you were between sizes.

Privacy

The whole conversion table and every calculation are plain JavaScript running in your browser tab. Your foot length and sizes are never uploaded, and there is no logging of what you converted. The one privacy note: the shareable URL encodes the wearer, the input scale, and the size value (for example ?g=women&s=eu&v=39) so a friend who opens the link sees the same conversion — which means the destination server's access log records that size. For casual sizing that is harmless; if you would rather not share a personal foot measurement, use the copy buttons instead of sharing the link.
