HTML source

What this tool does

A free email signature generator that produces HTML you can actually paste into Gmail, Outlook (desktop + web), Apple Mail, and Thunderbird without it falling apart. Enter your name, job title, company, phone, email, website, address, an avatar/logo URL, and social links (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, GitHub, Instagram, YouTube), then choose from four layouts: left-image, horizontal, minimal, and stacked. Pick a brand color and watch the signature render live on a white card that mimics an email body. Two export paths cover every client: "Copy signature (rich)" puts formatted HTML on your clipboard so you can paste straight into Gmail Settings to Signature or Outlook's signature editor, while "Copy HTML source" hands you the raw markup for clients or CRMs that take HTML directly. Every template is built with nested HTML tables and inline styles only — no flexbox, no grid, no external or embedded CSS — because that is the one layout approach email clients reliably keep. Your inputs are sanitized (hostile markup is escaped, dangerous avatar URLs are dropped) so the output is safe to paste anywhere. The whole thing runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Real-world use cases

  • Onboard a new sales hire with an on-brand signature in 2 minutes

A new account executive joins and needs a signature that matches the rest of the team. Open the tool, type their name, "Account Executive", the company, their direct line and email, the company website, and the LinkedIn profile. Pick the brand hex from the marketing deck so the accent bar and company name match every other rep. Choose the "Horizontal" template, click "Copy signature (rich)", and walk them through pasting it into Gmail Settings to Signature. The whole onboarding step is two minutes instead of forwarding a Word doc that breaks the moment they paste it.

  • Replace a broken signature that collapsed in Outlook

You built a signature in a flashy generator that used flexbox, and half your recipients on Outlook desktop see a vertical jumble with the logo on its own line. Re-enter the same details here, pick the "Left image" template, paste your public logo URL, and copy the rich version. Because this output is pure table + inline style, the two-column layout (logo left, details right) survives Word's HTML renderer. Send yourself a test email to an Outlook account to confirm before rolling it out.

  • Make a personal portfolio signature for freelance outreach

As a freelance developer you cold-email prospects and want the signature to do the selling. Fill in your name, "Full-stack Developer", skip the company, and add your GitHub and personal site. Choose the "Minimal" template so the signature is a clean top-bordered block that does not compete with your pitch. Copy the HTML source and drop it into your outreach tool's signature field.

  • Standardize signatures across a small team without IT

A five-person startup has five different signature styles. Agree on one template and one brand color, then have each person fill in their own details and copy the rich signature into their own Gmail. Because the template and color are remembered in this tool's local storage, anyone who reopens it on the same machine keeps the agreed look. No mail server admin, no signature-management SaaS, no subscription.

  • Add a QR code or campaign link to a marketing signature

For a product launch you want every email to carry the campaign landing page. Put the campaign URL in the Website field (or a short tracked link), pick a bold brand color, and choose the "Stacked" template so the link sits prominently under your name. Generate a matching QR code separately and host its image, then drop that image URL into the Avatar slot if you prefer a scannable signature.

Common pitfalls

  • Pasting a local file path or a Google Drive share link into the Avatar field. Email clients can only load images from a public https:// URL — anything behind a login or on your hard drive shows as a broken image. Host the file publicly first.

  • Editing the copied HTML in a rich text editor that re-adds <style> blocks or class attributes. Those get stripped by Gmail/Outlook and your layout breaks. Keep the inline-style table markup as-is; only edit the visible text.

  • Shipping the signature without testing it in the actual target client. A signature that looks perfect in the browser preview can still differ in Outlook desktop's Word renderer. Always send yourself one test email to each client you care about before rolling it out company-wide.

Privacy

The signature is assembled entirely in your browser with plain JavaScript — your name, email, phone, and every other field stay on this page and are never uploaded or logged. Your input is HTML-escaped and dangerous avatar URLs (javascript:, data:) are dropped, so the generated markup is safe to paste. The chosen template and brand color are saved to your browser's local storage so the tool remembers your look between visits. One caveat: the form fields are also encoded into the page URL so a "share link" reproduces your draft — that means the URL carries your email and phone. For anything sensitive, share the copied signature rather than the URL.
