• Lock the 95 verbs before a JLPT N5 mock exam

  The grammar section of N5 lives or dies on conjugation. Filter to the verbs category, hide the romaji, and for each of the 95 verbs say all five forms out loud before tapping Play to check. The card tells you godan vs ichidan, so when you hit 行く you remember its te-form is いって, not the regular いいて. Twenty minutes a day for a week and the conjugation questions stop being guesswork.

• Drill the eight particles that wreck beginner sentences

  Filter to the particle category and read each example sentence aloud. The cards flag the three pronunciation traps directly: は read as wa, を read as o, へ read as e. Star は, が, を, に so they surface in your review list, then write five of your own sentences swapping particles to feel how 私が食べる and 私を食べる mean completely different things.

Common pitfalls

• Treating every verb as regular. 行く looks godan but its te-form is いって; the card's godan/ichidan tag plus the exception note saves you from saying いいて.

• Reading particles by their spelling. は in a sentence is wa, を is o, へ is e; read the example sentence aloud, not the kana in isolation.

• Studying with romaji as a crutch. Hide the romaji once a word is familiar and recall from kana, or you will freeze the moment a real menu has no Latin letters.
